The Academy organized the “Foreign Service Orientation Program – Winter 2018” for the personnel from other government agencies and institutions who are posted to Turkish diplomatic missions abroad.

11 officers from the Ministry of Interior, 7 officers from the Ministry of Education and 1 officer from the Turkey Aatomic Energy Authority participated in the program.

The program concluded with the awarding of the certificates on 20 December 2018.

Training for Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) Members

We hosted the new President of Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) Mr. Taha Ayhan and six forum members for a training on diplomacy and protocol on 17-18 December 2018.

Training Program for the Diplomats to be Posted Abroad for the First Time

Protocol Training Programme for Congolese Diplomats

H.E Ambassador Artemiz Sümer and H.E. Ambassador Numan Hazar (R) organized a training program on June 5-7 and on June 8 respectively in Brazzaville and in Kinshasa about diplomacy and diplomatic skills for a group of 60 diplomats from every level of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Congo and for another group of 60 young diplomats serving for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Congo.

Training Programme For Senior Ethiopian Diplomats

A training program for senior diplomats from the Ministrry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia was organized between the dates of 13-16 March 2018 in Addis-Ababa. 30 diplomats participated in the program.

Within the scope of the program, Prof. Dr. Mesut Özcan, Acting Director of the Diplomacy Academy, gave lectures on “Global and Regional Framework of Turkish Foreign Policy” and “Global Issues and International Relations”. Presentations on “Economy Diplomacy” by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Faruk Aysan and “Negotiation Skills” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Talha Köse were also given during the program.

The Basic and In-service Training Program for Newly Recruited Headquarters Officers

The Basic and In-service training program for the newly recruited Headquarters Officers has been conducted by the Academy between November 18 and December 4. In the extent of the 2 week training program; the officers attended courses on basic, academic and technical issues such as official correspondence, the law on state officials, ethics, filing, information security and other issues concerning officers. Besides academics from leading universities, senior Ministry officials and bureaucrats from various public institutions also have contributed to the program. The program has been concluded with the proficiency exam on 4th December 2013.
