Training Program for Diplomats from MIKTA Countries

16-22 October, 2017 Ankara/Istanbul

Within the framework of enhancing cooperation among Diplomatic Academies of MIKTA Countries; a training program organized for 8 diplomats from MIKTA Countries between 16 and 22 October 2017 by Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreing Affairs of Turkey.

During the first part of the program which took place in Ankara, guest diplomats had a chance to attend seminars and conferences on; “Regional and Global Framework of Turkish Foreign Policy”, “Turkey’s Economy and Foreing Economic Relations”, “Multilateral Economic Organizations and Regional Economic Cooperation (G-20, OECD, BSEC, D-8, ECO)”, “Emerging Economies&MIKTA”, “Bilateral Relations with MIKTA Countries”, “Conflict Resolution”, “Turkish Contribution to UN”, “Humanitarian Diplomacy and World Humanitarian Summit 2016”, “Turkey-EU Relations”, “Energy Diplomacy”, “Multilateral Negotiations” and “Media and Foreign Policy” given both by officials from the Ministry as well as academics from leading universities of Turkey.

Second part of the program, comprised historical, cultural and touristic visits in İstanbul. Within this framework, the guest diplomats visited  Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia Museum, Topkapı Palace Museum, Grand Bazaar, Dolmabahçe Palace Museum and Galata Tower. Guest diplomats had also chance to have Bosphorus tour and visit Taksim-İstiklal Street.
