Training Program for DR Congo Diplomats

22-29 June 2019, Ankara, Istanbul

The Academy organized a one-week training program for a group of 11 diplomats from the Democratic Republic of the Congo on 22-29 June 2019, in Ankara and Istanbul. As part of the program, various conferences were held and visits were made in Ankara, followed by the delegation enjoying historic hotspots of Istanbul.

The first stage of the program included lectures and briefings on Turkish Foreign Policy, Turkey-Africa relations, economic diplomacy, conflict resolution, and public diplomacy. Guest diplomats also visited Ataturk’s Mausoleum, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and Yunus Emre Institute in Ankara.

The second stage of the program took place in Istanbul, where the group visited Suleymaniye Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Spice Bazaar and Dolmabahçe Palace.
