Training Program for the Kosovar Diplomats (2016)

October 10-16, 2016 Ankara, Istanbul

The Academy organized a one-week training program for a delegation of 11 Kosovar diplomats on 10-16 October 2016, in Ankara and Istanbul. As part of the program, various conferences were held and visits were made in Ankara, followed by the delegation enjoying historic hotspots of Istanbul.

The first stage of the program included conferences delivered by Ministry officials, retired ambassadors and academicians on Bilateral Relations with Kosovo; Multilateral Negotiations, Multilateral Economic Organizations and Regional Economic Cooperation, Cultural Diplomacy, Public Diplomacy,  Turkey’s Relations with the European Union, Turkey’s Relations with NATO Economic Diplomacy; Turkey’s Economy and Foreign Economic Relations and General Protocol Rules.

The delegation also visited Ataturk’s Mausoleum, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), Presidency of Turks Living Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) and Yunus Emre Institute. These institutions delivered presentations on their organizational structures and operations.

The second stage of the program took place in Istanbul, where the delegation enjoyed first-hand experience of Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, and Dolmabahçe Palace.
