Training Program for Kenyan Diplomats (2017)

11-18 June,2017 Ankara/Istanbul

The Academy organized a one-week training program for a delegation of Kenyan diplomats on 11-18 June 2017, in Ankara and Istanbul. As part of the program, various conferences were held and visits were made in Ankara, followed by the delegation visiting historic and cultural hotspots of Istanbul.

The first stage of the program included conferences delivered by Ministry officials, retired ambassadors and academicians on ''Bilateral Relations between Turkey and Kenya'', ''Turkey's Foreign Policy Towards Africa'', “Humanitarian Diplomacy and Refugee Problem”, “Humanitarian Diplomacy and Turkey’s Humanitarian Assistance”, “Diaspora Management and Consular & Diaspora Diplomacy”, “Multilateral Diplomacy,&Negotiation Skills”, “e-Diplomacy: Use & Information Technologies in Diplomacy” , “Diplomatic Mission Management” and “Public Speaking and Media Training”.   

The second stage of the program took place in Istanbul, where the delegation enjoyed first-hand experience of Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar,Spice Bazaar and Dolmabahçe Palace.
