Training Program for the Namibian Diplomats (2017)

July 17-23, 2017 Ankara/Istanbul

The Academy organized a one-week training program for a delegation of 10 Namibian diplomats on 17-23 July 2017, in Ankara and Istanbul. As part of the program, various conferences were held and visits were made in Ankara, followed by the delegation enjoying historic hotspots of Istanbul.

The first stage of the program included conferences  on "Bilateral Relations with the Republic of Namibia",  "Turkish Foreign Policy towards Africa",  “Global and Regional Framework of Turkish Foreign Policy”,  “Diplomacy and Foreign Policy Making”,  “Turkish Economy and Economic Diplomacy”, “Humanitarian Diplomacy”, “Energy Diplomacy”, “Public Diplomacy”, “General Protocol Rules, Working Abroad, Embassy Administration and Representation” and "Public Speaking".

The delegation also visited Ataturk’s Mausoleum and Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and Yunus Emre Institute  in Ankara.

The second stage of the program took place in Istanbul, where the delegation enjoyed first-hand experience of Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, and Dolmabahçe Palace.
