Training Program for the Turkmen Diplomats

September 13 - 20, 2015 Ankara/Istanbul

The Academy organized a one-week training program for a delegation of 6 Turkmen diplomats from the Turkmenistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As part of the program, various conferences were held and visits were made in Ankara, followed by the delegation enjoying historic hotspots of Istanbul.

The first stage of the program included conferences delivered by Ministry officials and academicians in the field of Turkish Foreign Policy, Turkey-Turkmenistan Relations, Turkish Economy, Public Diplomacy,Cultural Diplomacy, History of Turkey, Negotiation Skills, Conflict Resolution and Mediation. The delegation also visited Ataturk’s Mausoleum, Turkish Grand National Assembly, as well as Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, Presidency of Turks Abroad and Related Communities, and Yunus Emre Institute. These institutions delivered presentations on their organizational structures and operations.

The second stage of the program took place in Istanbul, where the delegation enjoyed first-hand experience of Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar and Galata Tower.
