Training Program for the Kenyan Diplomats

The Academy organized a one-week training program for a delegation of 10 Kenyan diplomats from the Kenyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. As part of the program, various conferences were held and visits were made in Ankara, followed by the delegation enjoying historic hotspots of Istanbul.

The first stage of the program included conferences delivered by Ministry officials in the field of Turkish Foreign Policy towards Africa, Turkey-Kenya Relations, Turkish Economy, Public Diplomacy, E-Government, and academicians gave seminar on History of Turkey, and Negotiation Skills, Conflict Resolution and Mediation. The delegation also visited Ataturk’s Mausoleum, Turkish Grand National Assembly, as well as Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and Yunus Emre Institute, the two emerging institutions of the recent Turkish foreign policy. These institutions delivered presentations on their organizational structures and operations.

The second stage of the program took place in Istanbul, where the delegation enjoyed first-hand experience of Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar and Galata Tower.
