Training Program for the Lebanese Diplomats (2017)

1-8 October, 2017 Ankara/Istanbul

The Academy organized a one-week training program for a delegation of 6 Lebanese Diplomats on 1-8 October 2017, in Ankara and Istanbul. As part of the program, various conferences were held and visits were made in Ankara, followed by the delegation enjoying historic hotspots of Istanbul.

The first stage of the program included conferences delivered by Ministry officials, retired ambassadors and academicians on Regional Framework of Turkish Foreign Policy, Turkey's Bilateral Relations with Lebanon,Turkish Foreign Policy towards Middle East, Turkish Foreign Policy towards North Africa, Economic Diplomacy, Public Diplomacy, Cultural Diplomacy,Public Speaking and Media Training, Diplomatic Mission Management and Negotiation Skills.

The delegation also visited Ataturk’s Mausoleum, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), Yunus Emre Institution and Center for Middle Eastern Strategic Studies(ORSAM). These institutions delivered presentations on their organizational structures and operations.

The second stage of the program took place in Istanbul, where the delegation enjoyed first-hand experience of Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar.
