Training Program for the Ethiopian Diplomats

March 09-14, 2020, Ankara, Istanbul

The Academy organized a one-week training program for a group of 12 Ethiopian diplomats from March 09-14, 2020. The training comprised offical visits and lectures in Ankara and a cultural tour in İstanbul

The participants received lectures on various topics including general principles and framework of Turkish Foreign Policy, Turkey-Ethiopia relations, Turkey's Foreign Policy towards Africa, conflict resolution and mediation, transboundary waters, UN system and multilateral diplomacy, public diplomacy and energy diplomacy.

Guest diplomats visited Ataturk’s Mausoleum and Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works in Ankara. The cultural tour in İstanbul included visits to the Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Dolmabahce Palace and the Grand Bazaar.
