Collaboration

Diplomacy Academy has been in cooperation with the Diplomatic Academies of numerous countries at bilateral level by signing framework agreements in the form of “Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation.” These bilateral agreements facilitate and promote the cooperation between the training institutions of the signatories. They stipulate the exchange of experience, academics, publications and curriculum of training programs.

National Cooperation Agreements

The Academy has been in cooperation with various universities both to invite guest speakers and instructors for the training programs and to enroll the officers of the Ministry at master degree programs offered by these Universities in Turkey.

Diplomacy Academy has signed “Cooperation Protocols” with TOBB ETU University and Istanbul Sehir University in 2012. In total, 16 diplomats from the Ministry have enrolled in the master programs in “the Middle East Studies” at Istanbul Sehir University and in “the Balkan Studies” at TOBB ETU University. For the 2013-2014 Academic year, the Academy signed Cooperation Protocols with Sabancı University and Istanbul Şehir University for master degree programs in the Eurasian Studies and the Middle East Studies respectively.

International Cooperation Agreements

Diplomacy Academy has signed “Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation between Diplomatic Academies”  and “Protocol on Exchange of Diplomats” with 97 and 16 countries respectively.

Thanks to the active foreign policy of Turkey, the interest displayed by foreign countries in the “Exchange of Diplomats” program has increased significantly in recent years. Diplomacy Academy has undertaken the coordination of exchange of foreign diplomats for 3 months to 1 year periods.

“Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation between Diplomatic Academies” constitutes the legal basis for the cooperation between the Diplomatic Academies stipulating exchange of experience, lecturers, instructors and publications, as well as organization of joint conferences, seminars and training programs.
