Training Program for Gambian Diplomats - 2024

December 3-6, 2024, Ankara

The Academy organized a training program for 7 diplomats from the Gambian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad within the framework of the country's Chairmanship-in-Office of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) at the Academy premises on December 3-6, 2024.

Within the framework of the training program, presentations on "Türkiye's Global and Regional Role in International Organizations", "Bilateral Relations between Türkiye and Gambia", "Türkiye's Experience in Dispute Resolution and Mediation", "Duties of the OIC Chairperson-in-Office, OIC Declarations and Protocols", "Relations between the Chairperson-in-Office and the OIC Secretariat, Information on Various OIC Meetings" and "Rules of Protocol" were given to the guest delegation with the valuable contributions of the relevant departments of our Ministry.

Ambassador Cenk Uraz, Permanent Representative to the OIC, gave a comprehensive presentation on the OIC through an online meeting.

Ambassador Tolga Bermek, advisor to the Academy, provided information on the OIC and our bilateral relations.

As part of the program, the delegation visited SESRIC and TIKA on Thursday, December 5, to learn first-hand about the activities of these organizations.

The program concluded with a certificate award ceremony on Friday, December 6.
